This camera has a built in ring light that can only be controlled through the app. The problem is that the white LED light defaults to ON every time the camera is powered, in my case that means every time I start the truck and the running lights turn on I have to open the app (Hopkins towing solutions app - not the NVISION app) and turn off the light. To fix this I disassembled the unit and removed the ring light, I'd rather have no light than deal with the app every time I start driving. While doing this I noticed that one of the resistors on the circuit board is clearly out of place. I contacted Hopkins customer support but never received a reply. Low hopes for longevity on this one!
